Configuration and behavior

A ledger of Name / Value / Type rows. Edit each row in place and remove it with its X button. Type is Text (stored literally, no expansion), Number (must be a finite number), True or false, or Auto. Auto is set for you when the value holds data, and a single untransformed token keeps the type of its source. Remove the data to choose another type. The row's name becomes ${vars.<slug>} - lowercase letters and digits, other characters collapsed to -, so "Show Code" is ${vars.show-code}. The step is atomic: one bad row and nothing is set.

Set variables is where you pin down a single value from a larger one. It accepts scalar Iconik values (Named Iconik values) and scalar Script results (8.5), keeping their text, number, boolean, and path types. A scalar current For Each item can also be combined with surrounding text. A whole metadata collection or a structured Script result cannot be copied this way.
