Iconik Find Asset

Manual / Actions / Iconik

Find exactly one active asset that matches your search fields.

Read Shared action rules for disabling this action, outputs, error routing, and recovery. Configure the Iconik connection before using this action.

Configuration and behavior

Add one or more Search fields. All fields must match. Multiple selected values for one field mean any of those values can match. Find Asset is for a single asset: exactly one active asset must match. No match fails as not found. More than one match fails as ambiguous, and the error gives the number of matches; add a search field to narrow it. Relay never silently chooses one of several, and Find Asset does not return a list for For Each. Include additional asset details is off unless you select it. Off returns identity, core properties, and custom metadata. On also retrieves versions, files, proxies, collections, relationships, and segments.

An asset with no custom metadata still succeeds. Iconik reports missing custom metadata with HTTP 404; Relay treats that response as an empty metadata result. No custom fields appear for that asset. This also applies to Iconik Get Asset, with additional details on or off. Missing assets and other request failures still stop the action.

Retry window defaults to 2m and accepts 1 second through 1 hour.

Outputs: asset_id, outcome, title, status, external_id, created_date, modified_date, and collection_count, plus the enabled named result described in Named Iconik values. A node saved with the box clear, and a node saved before this option existed, both return the short result. Only a ticked box retrieves the additional details, and it returns the same complete record it always did.
